YOUR BOOK BEGINNING
MY BOOK BEGINNING
For an actor appearing in a new play, the most exciting time is the opening night, plus, if you are lucky, the day or two after, when the reviews and congratulations roll in. That’s what everyone assumes.
-- The Patron Murders by Edwin Wilson.
The debut mystery by former theater critic, Edwin Wilson, finds stage actor and amateur sleuth, Matt Johanssen, stepping in to help the NYPD figure out why New York art and theater patrons are dying in macabre ways.
Sounds good! Thanks for hosting...and sharing.
ReplyDeleteHi Gilion,
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting BBOF and for generously sharing your space with Freda's Friday 56. I didn't realise until it was too late this week, but in future I shall be only happy to combine the two posts :)
I do love a good murder / mystery and whilst the opeing line is quite compelling, I really can't decide if it is one for me, or not. I think I would like to see a few more reviews first, before deciding.
When I managed to find a larger version of the book's cover, I realised just how imposing the artwork was, although it is such a shame that the title words obscure so much of it.
'Happy Reading' and have a good weekend :)
Yvonne

ReplyDeleteThanks for adding The Friday 56 to your post. Happy weekend!
Ed wilson's fine novel, The Patron Murders is an incredibly absorbing page turner. The basic premise is actualized in a way that only someone with in intimate understanding of the Theater world could accomplish. A remarkable book!
