YOUR BOOK BEGINNING
MY BOOK BEGINNING
Oscar Wilde was a dazzling conversationalist: once heard never forgotten.
-- Oscar Wilde: A Certain Genius by Barbara Belford.
This has been sitting on my TBR shelf forever! I am finally getting to it because of my idiosyncratic selection method for my 2015 Mt. TBR challenge.
Great excerpt! Thanks for sharing...
ReplyDeleteI looovee Oscar Wilde most of the time, except when he starts talking about women in which case I need him to be quiet! I would have loved to talk to him though. He would definitely be a guest at an imaginary dinner party!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting :) I hope you have a great weekend!
Juli @ Universe in Words
One of my favorite writers. Hope you enjoy the book.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that's true! It would be fun to have a conversation with Oscar Wilde, wouldn't it?
ReplyDeleteHi Gilion,
ReplyDeleteWhilst this probably isn't a book I would read from cover to cover, I do love reading short extracts and quotations from his writing.
The author couldn't have chosen a better first line to open the book with.
My Book Beginning this week comes from new release 'If Only' by Norma Budden.
