Mailbox Monday
Thanks for joining me for Mailbox Monday! MM was created by Marcia at A girl and her books (fka The Printed Page), who graciously hosted it for a long, long time, before turning it into a touring meme (details here).
This month, Mailbox Monday moves north, to somewhere near Quebec, where Cindy at Cindy's Love of Books is hosting. Please stop by to visit her blog and join in the fun.
Thanks to a stop at the Friends' store of the Deschutes County Library in Bend, I snagged three vintage paperbacks for only 50 cents each.
Darkness Visible by William Styron. His classic memoir about his own depression.
The Sot-Weed Factor by John Barth. On the All-TIME list of best 100 novels.
May We Borrow Your Husband? by Graham Greene. A possibly odd choice for the Graham Greene Challenge.
Hi I wasn't sure where to comment so I fiugred in your mailbox post would be the best place.
ReplyDeleteYou can leave your link in the current mailbox post. I will be changing it weekly.
I tend to post my mailbox post on the weekend so that more people can link to it but the one that is up now is for this week. So please leave your link there :)
The Greene book sounds interesting!
ReplyDeleteHadn't heard of The Sot Weed Factor before so I looked it up on Goodreads. Fabulous reviews so I'll add it to my TBR books. Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of The Sot-Weed Factor...I'll have to check it out :) Happy Reading!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you love them all!
ReplyDeleteI tried to read The Sot-Weed Factor when I was younger, but couldn't catch hold. I think it was me, rather than the book.
ReplyDeleteI also have not heard of The Sot-Weed Factor or John Barth. Makes me wonder what other books on the All-Time list I don't know. Will have to check it out from your link.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy all your books!
