MY BOOK BEGINNING
No matter what trouble he stirs up, what law he breaks, Obidiah Bounds will always be her cool sip of hyssop nectar on a sunny day.-- Glow by Jessica Maria Tuccelli. That's laying it on a bit thick, but it looks like this is going to be a great read.
This is my first book for the Southern Literature Reading Challenge.
Thanks go to intrepid book publicist, Mary Bisbee-Beek, for getting me an early copy of Glow.
Thanks go to Becky at Page Turners for starting this weekly event, and to Katy at A Few More Pages, who graciously hosted for a year and a half.
I didn't see a link up widget so I'll leave my link here in comments:http://tinyurl.com/8yg9br2 (Something Missing by Emily Giffin)
ReplyDeleteI'm really anxious to read this one. I hope I get to it soon!

I have one book on each of my blogs. Here are the links to My Name Is Not Easy by Debby Dahl Edwardson and to Chasing Fire by Nora Roberts. Both were very good books but in very different ways.
ReplyDeleteHere's the link to my Book Beginnings post.

ReplyDeleteHmmmmmm . . .I have no idea why the Mr. Linky didn't show up. It is there now. I'll try to add everyone's links, if it lets me.
ReplyDeleteSorry for the glitch!
Your BBF it's... I really don't know. I'd need something more.
ReplyDeleteOh! I had no problems with Mr Linky.
Happy BBF to everyone! :D
I added my Mr. Linky for my Book Beginning :)
ReplyDeleteHi Gilion
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like an intriguing and thoughtful story. There is great interest in US books and authors, over here in the UK right now, so 'Glow' is going on to my reading list, as a good place to start my quest.
Thanks for hosting and have a good weekend.
Yvonne
Interesting beginning! Wonder what trouble he is upto and how she can be her cool self!
ReplyDeleteOh, it sounds like she has fallen for a bad boy. I like the sound of this one.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for a meme. I like it! Of course after reading yours, I'm wondering what hyssop nectar actually is.
ReplyDeleteOh noes! I couldn't figure out why I wasn't getting any traffic on my post today. I clicked on my own link (in the #1 slot) and it didn't find the url! I put it up myself this time (Something Missing) and hopefully I'll get a couple hots before the week-end is out!
ReplyDeleteThat is a provocative opening! I liked the way she avoided cliche - or changed it just enough that it's unique to the character. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know how I forgot to come add my name to the Mister Linky after you posted this. Better late than never, I guess, even if I already have this week's set to post in the wee hours of Friday morning.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good beginning for a book.
