"But it seemed uncanny that Grace had written this note just before I'd determined thank-you notes to be my way out of despair. By thanking me for a Christmas present, she awakened me to something in my life, however small, for which I could be grateful."
-- 365 Thank Yous: The Year a Simple Act of Daily Gratitude Changed My Life by John Kralik.
This is a great little book. I am enjoying it tremendously and am already thinking of notes to write myself. Of course, I am a huge fan of the handwritten note, so he is preaching to the choir.

ReplyDeleteHandwritten thank you notes are such a small thing--but an incredibly touching small thing. I've tried to teach my son to take the time to do these. Great teaser!

Wonderful teaser and so profound. Thank yous, like a smile, are so simple and so easy to give and their impact is priceless. Too many people don't understand this. I think this book sounds terrific and so worth reading.
ReplyDeleteThank you!

I hope you enjoy your book. Check out what my Tuesday Teaser is.
ReplyDeletePerfect teaser, because it tells you a lot about the subject of the book (I think); hopefully most of us have finished our thank you notes for Christmas gifts. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm always terrible about actually writing thank you notes; emails and texts are easy and instant. But handwritten notes do convey so much more...maybe reading this book will convince me to do it more!

I'm a definite believer in daily gratitude. It really changes your mindset when you focus on the positive and the blessings in your life rather than the things you lack.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting! I would love to read this one. I'll have to find it.
