This book is on the Anthony Burgess list of Top 99 novels, and it won the James Tait Black Memorial Prize.
I remember reading the book and seeing the movie. Didn't know it was on a top 100 list.
ReplyDeleteBBD -- I finished the book and was blown away. I can't say as I remember the movie, but now that I read it, it seems the movie would have to be really over-the-top to do the book justice.
