Opening Sentence of the Day: Another Way the River Has

Nobody ever called the Clackamas "old man river."

Another Way the River Has: Taut True Tales from the Northwest by Robin Cody (published by OSU Press).

Cody is best-known for his novel Ricochet River, a coming-of-age story set in a small Oregon lumber town in the 1960s. This is a collection of his nonfiction, including several pieces not published before.

  2. He goes on to say that the Clackamas is a "young rascal . . . full of mischief and rebellion." I think I am going to like this book.
