The jury came back yesterday with a big win for my firm. I'm still giddy. And still reeling.
The story is on
CNN,
The New York Times,
ABC,
NPR,
The Oregonian, and even
foreign newspapers. It's been on the tv news too and lots of blogs. The entire
post-verdict press conference is on YouTube. Our client is still wide-eyed in it, but he did a good job.
This is all very exciting.
This is the first day I have had off in the last three months. I am celebrating my free time along with the trial victory by going book shopping.
Congratulations - well done!
ReplyDeleteWay to go you!!!
ReplyDeleteYou deserve a bookstore full of books!
THAT IS AWESOME!!!!! Way to go!
ReplyDeleteBook shopping is the best way to celebrate just about everything.
ReplyDeleteWell done! And what an important case to meet with such a resolution. I pray that steps will be taken by the organization to ensure that this type of thing doesn't happen again, although it would seem in this day and age, that is a tall order...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I'm so glad that you won this case. Hopefully it ends up helping future children.
ReplyDeleteBeing a litigator who has won a major case with lots of press attention, I understand exactly how giddy, relieved, and exhausted you are. Savor the win, rest up, enjoy a good book. You and all the hard-working members of your firm deserve to celebrate.

Congrats! A very important win.
ReplyDeleteHave fun shopping - Powells, right? You lucky girl!
Thanks for all the good wishes. I was pretty numb all weekend. It is hard to go from a million miles an hour to nothing. Whew!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! You were on THAT case?! Crazy! Well! Well done indeed! You had one extremely brave, courageous client!
ReplyDeleteThanks Baley! Yes, the client did a great job. There are five others from his same troop who were abused by the same guy who have been sticking together through all of this. They are inspirational to me.
ReplyDeletewow - congratulations! Bask in the glory of a job well done!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! I think I see the hint of a smile on Lady Justice's face.
