Teaser Tuesday: Incidents in the Rue Laugier

"Maud simply wanted to live in Paris, with or without a husband, preferably without. While careful not to let her thoughts show on her severe and slightly disdainful golden face, Maud had a secret desire to escape all forms of control." -- Incidents in the Rue Laugier by Anita Brookner I am now definitely a Brookner fan. Teaser Tuesdays is hosted by Should Be Reading, where you can find the official rules for this weekly event.

"A few people were interrupted mid-errand to stare. All eyes were on the elderly woman limping and quacking."

  2. Oops! My Teaser Tuesday post popped up on Monday. I can only blame user error.

It is now going to disappear until tomorrow.

Michelle -- thanks for the note and your teaser! Your comment will come back tomorrow too.

  3. Great teaser! Maud sounds like such a typical Brookner type, with her "slightly disdainful" face. Love her books.
