I have read five books for the European Challenge. I tried to obey all the rules you gave which were very simple to follow. If I need to redo any part of the challenge, please write me in my email. You know the addy.
ReplyDeleteEnded up reading more than 5 and thoroughly enjoyed my tour of Europe! :)
ReplyDeleteI aimed for 5 and finished 3. It was a lot of fun, and I have many ideas for 2018!
ReplyDeleteI set out on this challenge with the goal of completing the full list of 50. I'm happy to report I made it 3/5 of the way there! 2017 turned out to be my definition of not quite reaching my goals, but leaving me proud of the results anyway. 30 different countries is just fine by me. On a related note: I now know way more about WWII than I did before.
ReplyDeleteThe final list as it stands (all books have reviews linked on the review page):
Albania - The Palace of Dreams by Ismail Kadara
Austria - Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl

57% were by authors from the designated country in case you were wondering. I'd still very much like to hit the rest of the countries in Europe. I think I'll keep picking away at the list in 2018.
Thanks again for hosting!
